I think he is not a dreamer, I do believe he is correct. But not only do you need to know where you are coming from but also hold on to your traditions and culture, do not get lost like old Europe did. Hold on to your values, your pride, your history, never deny any of it or sell out than go towards the future, and if india does keep this in mind than it will be the perfect place to be.... which in my eyes it is already now. You cannot have a good government with democracy. Democracy leads to people distrusting and rebelling against the government. The success so far is not due to democracy but due to the West supporting India, using her as a pawn against China. The West believes that democracy leads to success but the truth is success (may) lead to democracy. India is persuing the wrong thing at the wrong time.

India's greatest liability will be its so called 'democracy'. Look at Taiwan - a small island with its people separated into 'Green camp' and 'Blue camp' all because of democracy. People of different beliefs are beaten up all the time. India has so many people and colours I wonder how divided it will be. You wait until 2020 and see for yourself.
