People should not rely on the government to take care of them. The money and power that government has is given to them by (or taken from, really) the American People! Americans could take care of themselves on a local, community, state level much better than the lumbering giant federal government can. Katrina is the proof of that. Americans sent help, but the government tried to control it and only wreaked havoc.
Just listen to Ron Paul and he'll do the convincing. He makes perfect sense.

Ron Paul owes nothing to anyone -- he stands by the Constitution, and has since day one. His record speaks for itself. Please just watch some videos of Ron Paul and you'll understand the "Ron Paul Revolution" and why so many people are so intense when it comes to this Presidential candidate. Trust me!

Our government takes our money from our earned pay, and puts it towards health care without citizens being able to have any say. The US health care system sucks, but Canada's is not much better. It's slow, resricted, and everything takes ages to get/happen. We have regular news stories about Canadians going to the USA for medical care - even to deliver newborn children!

Ya I have no problem with universal health care. Actually I think we should ALSO have universal education... but that should not mean the government owns and heavly regulates these things. Just they take our hard earned money and give it to them :P Hopefully in proportion to how important/popular the instution is.

All this talk about health care. Ron Paul is on top of it. Once the prices are no longer controlled by the government and by big HMO's than there will be a more natural market. Trust me. I used to work for medicaid and it is a CLUSTERFUCK. I can't imagine anything Ron Paul would do could make it worse. Unlike all the other candidates he isn't looking out for his own portfolio.
