It makes no sense for 9/11 to be an inside job to launch an invasion on Afghanistan, a country of no geopolitical strategic value. Iraq, on the other hand, does have strategic value, and I don't doubt that the Bush Administration exploited an atmosphere of anxiety to pursue their interests in that country. But facilitating the pursuit of strategic objectives by exploiting an existing situation is different than manufacturing that situation--as 9/11 conspiracy theories suggest.

The video is compelling, and surely possible. The explosions look controlled and the "scientific" evidence damning. I just wish Zeitgeist would provide its sources, because this entire video basis itself on "facts" that it does not go very far to prove. Its explanation of why to plan 9/11 leaves much to be desired. To me, the movie Zeitgeist is a greater fear-monger than it claims of the Bush administration and the "man behind the curtain."

I don't doubt they have the capability to do it, but I am left wondering about the motivation. A planned 9/11 to invade Afghanistan is retarded - it is a worthless, desolate land of no strategic value to the United States. Furthermore, they did not need 9/1 as an excuse to invade Iraq. The debate on going into Iraq never focused on Al Qa'ida, or 9/11 beyond calling it part of a ambiguous "Axis of Evil." The debate was about whether or not Iraq had WMDs.

This has nothing to do with 9/11; 9/11 was not the motivation for the War on Iraq. So I am left wondering why? Why plan 9/11? The Patriot Act does not provide a great enough explanation. On the other hand, I know a lot about the history between the United States/Western World and the Middle East. A lot about the clandestine connections, and their effects.

The Muslim world despises the West, even the moderates who do not find themselves ready to use violence still do not like the West - and for good reason. So if I have a choice between Muslim fanatics who hate the United States because of its sporadic history of intervention, or a Bush administration "inside job" to pursue an agenda they did not need 9/11 for, I think I will choose the former as the cause.

exactly!! there was no good reason for 9/11 to be in inside job. 9/11 provided a poor argument to go into Iraq. If these "insiders" wanted a real return on their investment, the should have come up with some good evidence that the attack came from Saddam hussain. Was the whole inside job with all these 1000's of co-conspirators just to freak everybody out? When looking for a guilty party, you have to look for motivations for the crime.

Unfortunately, middle eastern political organizations had great motivations for 9/11. The US acts as an imperial force in the middle east. They have a lot of support to attack the US on its own soil as the US has attacked and positioned itself in middle eastern countries for more than 30 years. So the "insiders" did this to pass a piece of legislation on get better returns on their defense stock portfolios? Please. That is a bit of a stretch. These videos are well put together, but that is it.
