excellent job!!! I have always loved going to Blackhawks games in the 80's with my dad. Watching them play st. lois or northstars..you knew it would be a brawl. Willie Plett and Al Secord always got into it. Bob Probert was another fav. of mine. Wish hockey was still like that. Now you get into 2 fights your gone. Let the boys be boys..it's part of the game. Back then before internet, I actually bought a vhs tape full of hockey fights..cost like 15.00 but it was well worth it.

Hockey, fighting is techniqually not allowed, but because of the contact nature of the sport players get pissed off and slug it out commonly. If you ever come to north america check out a game even if there is no fights, there is awsome contact like I'm mean these dudes are skating around at like 15 miles per hour and crashing into each other in all games. And if there is a fight the player who fought have to go into a penalty box for either 2 or 5 minutes or may even be ejected from the game.

Some say that fighting can rally your team in a momentum sense, but no points or anything. Others feel that it prevents players from using their sticks in aggression, which usually is the cause of much worse injuries. 5 minutes in the bin is the normal fighting penalty. I would estimate every second or third game has a fight, but this usually depends on the teams playing. Detroit is a finesse team and doesn't fight as much as, say Anaheim lately. Naturally, as a Canadian, I say check one out...
