i been a beatles fan sence i was about 5 and i only clicked this link because i wanted a good laugh but i have to say i was impressed really impressed while the message of the song was changed by mainly the video and slighly by her singing i think she did a great job keeping the song heartfelt while at the same time making it her own also i should mention i usually hate fiona apple but i have to disagree with you on this one if i wanted the beatles id just listen to the beatles

all i can say about this is that i could die a happy man after watching this. her version has much better flow and structure than the original.the quality of her voice is perfectly suited to this melody. it's hypnotizing and along with her beautiful face, it's almost too much to bear. i could watch this all day. btw, anybody know what jah karu dayva means? is it east indian?

gay is not appreciating it for what it really is: a beautiful piece of work. does she HAVE to sing it with a cheerful tone in order for it do justice to the original? this is one of several remakes that were better than the originals. dare i say the Beatles's version sucked in fact. John could have sung it with better fluency and the English accent didn't help it either. Fiona's arrangement and laid back style of singing gave it more passion and meaning. if no one enjoys this then i pity them.

The intent is to show how much chaos is all around,,while she sings this beautiful song as if nothing is going on... Yes, the Beatles wrote it, and their version is wonderful of course..but I think she did a fantastic version.
