As for what type and their effects we'll probably not find out any time soon as these people have no idea what they are talking about. | microwave energy excites water molecules and raises their temp, burning is a secondary result of the water being boiled off and the dry area combusting due to the residual heat. burning would be local to the absorbtion area defined by the beam width and standing wave area. the mthel beam weapon is a chemical lasing device which could equally cause the results alleged here. |
