It's interesting that both chaps have a voice that, when forceful, sounds much older than their years, and as if they've spent a lifetime smoking heavily.
but to say its rubbish because it isnt good as jacksons is naive and stupid.
1) Cornell's is a very grunge-based blues tune with a gritty voice to fit the mood of the song and some very dissonant chords to, in a way, "dirty up" the song. The acoustic guitar gives it a more personal and soulful feeling.
Both songs are fantastic to listen to, but arguing which one is better is a lot like arguing whether or not spaghetti is better than ziti: they're too similar to really judge a clear winner.
