The Negative Effects of a High Fiber Diet in Bodybuilding Nutrition.
By Lee Milligan Jr
Zinc contributes a major factor to the production of testosterone. A high fiber diet can cause significant zinc loss and subsequentially a drop in testosterone. You see fiber laces itself to the digestive tract waiting if you will for Zinc to show up. Being that Fiber is of the lowest molecular weight, so natually the Zinc will chelate to the fiber and out it goes so to speak. Fiber cannot be absorbed through the intestines so the fiber along with the chelated Zinc goes to waste. The counter productive effects of a high fiber diet cannot be underestimated. Applying proper nutritional practices can contribute significantly to your bodybuilding and strength training goals.
