This is no DD Vid! A Disciple is a damn good healer and all the people run kamikaze actions with him to half kill a brightwiz or so, before dying... U nuke your team too! Concentrate on healing in rdm RvR groups if you choose a healer class!
The first part is there to show the harmony of healing (and the good use of the siege weps at phoenixgate).
If the start is to soft for you, switch to 2:50 for more action gameplay and music.

If focus heal is needed, I cast both hots find an standing alone enemy and do "Rend Soul". That does it most times.
+ always spam Essence Lash as often as possible to regain essence.

lol OrderOfCrimea, DOK's get most of their healing power from the amount of melee dps they put out, the more melee they do the more they are able to heal so yeah that would be why they are in the front lines dpsing.

I really tried playing DoK as Dps like everybody did, but you die die die. "Oh a softarmored healer in the frontline, lets focus". The only thing you can do then is healing yourself and even that is not enough if 2-3 focus on you. Waste of life!
Teamplay is starting to happen. In open Beta everybody was a n00b, so DPS worked fine.
Now you have to think where you make dmg and where you better stand back.
Btw your healing output works if your not in the frontline. Blood Offering + Essence Lash

well... as long as i have played as DoK, most of players are running away when they se dok :P
when dok get close.... dead awaits! (even tanks can get ownd)

DoK are a hybrid class! Dps and healing. U must do both of them in a rvr!If u want pure heal play shaman or zealot.Dok must always be in the second line of battle, hitting every order pass near him, and heal every1 he can.Remember, he has hot skills (heal over time) and not instance full of hp.

I got what I wanted. A discussion about the DoK as primary healer. That's my playstyle atm and I try to build it up.
With willpower and heal tactics, willpower armor and some training in timing your dmg and Blood Offering for essence reload, you can match any shaman or zealot!
People will believe it some time I hope! ;P

Props to you for healing, but they are right to utilize the full benefit of the class. You need to heal AND DPS. Yes you shouldn't be just dpsing but you should be doing a good amount of both dpsing and healing.

Yes I am working on it, this vid is 10 days old. Still I am not playing Kamikaze as many DoKs I see around. Primary Healing secundary DPS. Soon a new vid with the new playstyle, when I've worked it out.

gos the whole reason i play violin is in that song good vid btw and godd healer but if uwant to heal in the back go shaman they are really good stand back and they can instant cast damaging spells if u heal 5 times in a row

You just said it: that's _your_ playstyle.
First of all, a DoK is a hybrid not mainly a healer. If you specc and equip your DoK to a more "dps-style" you will always be among the top damage dealers (leave alone the additional healing). Switching the heal focus target between you and another target will make you a _really_ nasty dps-opponent that is not "kamikaze" as you said.

Yes, this discussion is three weeks old now! I made the same experience in the last weeks!
What I saw after lunch were a lot of DoKs just attacking and getting killed after making about no dmg at all. So I made this Vid to remember that DoK is a healer too...
Today I am a healer and ranged dd hunter! ;P That's fun to play! + "5sec -100% heal after crit tac" makes it possible to kill those nasty dwarven Tanks.
