Don't blame orthodoxy for what communists did, look at other non-orthodox ex-commie countries-(western countries if you like)they did exactly the same thing in order to manipulate the masses in one way or another, despite that commies have nothing to do with religion, whatever that might be.
ps: romans-the ones we got ower name and language from were not catholic or orthodox...there was the same christian religion till' 1054, nothing to do with commies...

nationalist.. certainly comunists get wrong .. same as centuries before the austro-hungarian authorities had done when invented a new religion "Greco-catholic" and forced the orthodox romanians to pass to the new religion. Unfortunately it,s another history havy heritage which reasonable people have to solve it

whats wrong with you people...Religion during communism does not exist. And as for romanians being catholic, historically??? Comon thats propaganda you hear in fukin Budapest. We have had catholics, jews, waht not but orthodoxy was introduced in romania HUNDREDS of years ago!! Chiril and Andrei happened to pass by so to say. Culturally speaking, we are more similar to eastern europeans(ukrain,serbia,bulgaria)and not the rest of the latin world-despite what anyone else calls us i.e gypsies

nationalist .. invented, metaphoric speaking .. certainly it was,t a mass Transylvanian romanians revelation (around 1700) to pass from orthodoxy to greco-catholicism.. the same bysantine religy but united with Rome !!! Romanians, as people, are orthodox since it,s birth . They would,t pass to catholicism without presure from austro-hungarian leaders... for their interest. It was a compromise for both ..romanians and empire,s oficialities Dude! You have to learn the real history .
