The up and coming 'Young Bulls' consider it a great honor to be backing up the old 'Snowman'. Years ago, young Johnny Winters was proud to play behind many of the old blues masters in their last days at the microphones. Painful to watch, maybe, but such SPECIAL moments in life's cycle.

Please again, take this down. It's not fair to this blues master who has kicked his demons in the butt for good. He was invited to crossroads guitar festival last July and played with Derek Trucks band and sounding much better. Check it out and let me know what you think.

I don't find this hard to watch at all. I am 52, a Texan, and a longtime, respectful fan. John is where is in his life. He will pass as we all do. Obviously he has no desire to eat mush and have his shorts changed in a nursing home while scooting down a dead end hallway in a wheelchair. He will do as he pleases and die on the job I expect, rockin out, oblivious to our opinions.

Lucille, He's been back and playin awesome since he canned his old and crooked manager and took back control of his health and career. His new manager Paul Nelson has also helped put him back where he belongs amongst the best blues guitarists in history. He is not doing the blowtorch stuff he used to although he is playing great right now and just put on an awesome set at Warren Haynes Christmas Jam. Check out the short video clip.
