Whole heartedly agree with the comments below as to how this band slipped through the cracks. BTW... I miss that cover of 'All Along in the Watchtower'. It had and equally cool video with it. Does anyone know where it might be able to be found.

That is an aweomse version of All Along the Watchtower. I had it on vinyl but don't have a turntable any longer. Didn't know there was a video for it- would love to see it.

Bless you for putting this video on YouTube. What an appalling loss to music it was when Joe died, but what a wonderful legacy to leave for us.

Great to see this video posted. Saw them whenever they came to DC. Always brought someone that didn't know them, they always created a new fan. They were so good live and always drew a big crowd. I've burnt my vinyl to disc and the music really holds up despite being produced on a low budget. Very sorry to read above that Joe is gone, had a long chat with him at the HFSestival in '90. Does anyone know what happened to him? Great to see (hear) his music living on.

I forgot that we all used to wear our guitars so high! These guys were so kind to my old group Gigolo Aunts. They really took us under their wing and showed us how to be a better band. My eternal thanks to Michael C!

Awesome! What a joy to watch a video of a band I never got to see live but has had a profound effect on me ever since I picked up a Link Records Compilation CD in some bargain bin somewhere. Sometime afterwards, I contacted Michael Carlucci via Dina W. for a copy of These Familiar Places. They say you can't miss what you never had, but I miss this band.

Just thought of this band today for some reason after not having heard them in 20+ years and decided to do a YouTube search on them. Can't believe there's a video of them here! Always thought the lead singer's voice was superb, beautiful; the 80s 60s revival sounds were some of my favorites. Thanks for posting.

I saw Winter Hours live several times in the 1980s, I was sure it was only a matter of time before they became huge. I'm still perplexed how that never came to pass, especially after seeing how great they come across in this video. Thank you so much for posting this video. It made my day!

I saw Winter Hours in concert back in Port Chester NY 3 times. I also had an opportunity to see them open for REM. I still have a couple of EP's/LP's(Hyacinth Girl)and a TShirt too! LOL I wish I took an 8mm movie of them. Hahaha Play it back on a reel-to-reel. I am glad there are more of us out there that appreciated this band.

Saw them live at the "Night Shift" in Naugatuck, CT a couple of times...what a great band. I hope some more of their live shows or other videos appear. They were so underappreciated in their time, it's true. I still play the vinyl, and hope more videos or live concert footage shall arrive on youtube soon! Pure beauty melancholy and class......

I had no idea that Joe was gone when I first saw this and commented. How truly sad, Winter Hours never got their due, they were the best band from that time, and their music holds up so incredibly well. Joe and the band were absolutely amazing live too. I am just glad that I got to see them more than a few times.
