i can understand that leaving a place youve lived all your life, home, can be hard, but i bet if people knew beforehand the massive destruction katrina caused they would have left. there were many people who didnt take it seriously. considering the super dome, instances of violence, the mahem at that bridge, drownings, etc., if people knew that before theyd leave. but then again during gustav people stayed, and assitance by the government was again botched.
