I can agree that alot of black people will vote for obama because he is black but cant anyone see the big picture here? it has been 43 white presidents of the U.S. The first time there is a legitimate black candidate all hell breaks lose. Racism is the ugliest emotion that can be displayed. think about it 43 white presidents..hmmm how should minorities feel in the U.S and why should they think racism will cause obama to lose.

People wake up it is not being black or white here ,we need a change ,we need a new leadership to save this great nation from the uncertainty we are facing. i do not care if Barack was black white or red ,Muslim,christian or Jewish . This is not the way we should choose our president our leader.We should be after the consistency,determination,values and morals not race or religion o ethnic background.

It is somewhat offensive that people would think African-Americans would vote for Sen. Obama purely because he's African-American. Give us more credit then that! After studying, listening and watching the debates he clearly has the propensity to change the course of this nation. He's already demonstrated his intellectual vigor as a leader, but not just a leader... a leader with purpose, compassion and vision.
I really can't understand how color supersedes

tHE TRUTH IS if Barack gets pulled over (not that he'll be driving anytime soon) the first thing they're going to see is a BLACK MAN! In this country they don't care that you are HALF white. I absolutely love Colin Powell... How can we tell people not to take race into consideration when that's all we talk about and that's all we're obsessed with?

and I'm Haitian and voting for Obama... this is the same type of divisive ignorance that stops our progression as a race. Being African American doesn't make you more or less black than another black person born in another part of the world.

Though Collen is a bit more moderate than many conservatives. But As I watch his MTP interview I am a bit confused Tom tried to get Collen on some IRaq issues and in true Collen style he lays out a logic as to why we went but his endorsement followed no logic based on policy, for this I have lost a lot of respect and feel as a white American a bit cheated maybe I should then vote for McCain based on his race?
