Stunning lyrics? "There's a change in your emotions" Oh wow, very profound and descriptive. Someone else pointed out that if your blood's boiling you're not really going to look like you've seen a ghost are you? Anyway good song, but don't listen to the words too closely...

Actually, go ahead and listen to the words closely. "A change in your emotions"--There's more emotion going on than can be filtered by the brain. "She's holding her tonic like a cross" is pretty profound. She is there to be seen, her drink is a burden. He also makes it quite clear how intentional it was for her to make him feel this way--"so you can smell her perfume..." Going pale and blood boiling are pretty clear indicators of feeling a whole lot at once and its physical implications.
