Since you are a little girl, they should teach you to love yourself and accept your body the way it is, to feel beautiful the way you are, but this doesen't make money, of course. | The irony of this commercial, which is one of the best I've seen, is that it uses all of the elements of modern advertising - quick cuts, captivating music, and, especially, lots of images of scantly clad women - to decry the state of modern advertising. It is effective in "selling" its message for the very same reasons the beauty industry is effective in selling its message. In a backhanded kind of way it demonstrates why this kind of advertising isn't going to ever stop. |

| Yeah, you're right. This campaign was extremely successful too. You can't forget that their ultimate goal is to get you to buy despite any illusion of good intentions. If this film didn't have a brand on it I'd believe in it a lot more. |
