The song seems to be self explanatory. The man and woman are at far distances. The woman feels connected to him through the earth. She imagines meeting him and all the things they will do. Turning the fire up, I assume, would just be another way of them building their passion. And Martha's voice is ace. She was perfect for this song. It's my second favorite from that album.
