I don't think Islam is inherently imperial. How do you think Muslims lived alongside Christians and Jews for centuries under various Christian and Muslim empires in the middle east? The problem is Europe took in a lot of guest workers and did not send them home, instead let them bring their families who reproduce like rabbits. Not having supposed to stay, they were ghettoised. That is why many of these young 'Islamists' also listen to gangsta rap. They just develop a false tough identity.

Religion by it's nature and what it is, is violent, everything the avenger stated about Islam can and should be applied to Christianity. The only religion that I can think of, off the top my head that might be free of these characteristics is Budhism. In terms of death, self righteousness, arrogance, genocide. I believe Buddhism is the only religion that has not condoned and participated in these atrocities.

I do not condemn Islam. I condemn the 19th century socialists who worked feverishly to transform the lands of "the hated goyin". I blame the Emma Lazaruses, the Emma Goldmans, the Karl Marxes and the whole communist ilk. maybe I missed your point, SA. I've listened to a lot of your stuff, so I gather most of your intent. But, shutting out Islam or Muslims from western culture IS NOT the right idea. Noninterventionism is a great idea; you and I agree there. But the only way to ensure (thus the best way to help) relations between nations different in so many ways, including visually, is to integrate. The more 'darkies' have 'lighties' as friends and vise versa, the more they will empathize on commonalities.

You are advocating religious intolerance. You can quote extremist muslims, you could also quote extremist christians who say the same things. Muslims are not the only ones who have engaged in terrorism, and of course most muslims are not terrorists, they want democracy, they want freedom, and yes, they want to worship god in their own way. If the US would stop supporting the ethnic cleansing of palestine and stop invading muslim countries, maybe muslims wouldn't be so angry at us.
