He may be (definitely) a good physicists and a teacher, however this does not (shouldn't) give him the privilege avoid using "PLEASE" while requesting to turn off the lights etc from the staff (or student).

actually it does work. The colors aren't too vivid; but focus your eyes on the same location in space (i.e., don't try to follow the same location on the disk as it rotates around), and radially, you'll see slight brownish, slight greenish, and slight blueish, even on the video.
