| I have read. And I dont like the WAY they have gone about their progress. But the fact is they have gone at a much faster pace than India ever did, not least coz of the time we waste talking over trivial issues like dresses of cheerleaders. How many made in india products are sold in the world? Compare that with the made in china stuff. No one COULD say anything if china did anything in tibet, since their supply of cheap stuff depends on China. |

V hav d 3rd largest pool of doctors, engineers nd scientists in d world. | Compare the %age of people in India actually getting a decent education with that in the UK/US/China. Strength in nos doesnt matter, its the relative %age of people getting the benefits which does. And I find it hard to believe India has never disrespected any country when its full of racism(casteism's just a fancy cover up). How do you know the UK has insulted a country's honor? Any numbers backing it up? 1st step to progress:acknowledge facts and get out of the "we are the best" delusion. |

| Is that why rape crimes have risen by 700% over 30 years and many African students allege racism? And I dont call it secularism when the govt did nothing while people were getting killed in Nandigram by the state. And English originated in ancient Rome, and its base script is Roman not Sanskrit. Sanskrit was the origin point for Indian languages, the ancient Roman script from which modern English originated had nothing to do with Sanskrit. Dont make a fool out of people here, do some research. |

| All you are showing is strength in nos. Its those no of languages which is creating divisions in Maharashtra. And India may have the 3rd largest no of doctors etc, but what %AGE of people are doctors etc and how many achieve decent education levels? You dont believe anyone is above or below you, is that why there is casteism and racism today and a senior police officer says "its the woman's fault" when she gets molested by 80 people? All ur words are nice in history books, but are unrealistic. |

English derives frm multiple languages, including french, Urdu, Greek etc. K no point in explaining 2 a person who has no clue abt it. Also plz don't give numbers like 700% if u hav no proper info. | You will find that it was persian, turkish and hindi which had a little influence on the language around the 15th century, but the original work was Germanic and is most heavily based on the Roman script and influenced most by Latin. That is why there are a few similarities in some words in the languages derived from Sanskrit(which later had a small influence on English) and English. |

| The results are from the National Crime Records Bureau statistics from the Indian Home Ministry.I guess that according to ur theory, that makes the Home Ministry junk then. | Now here are the facts of sexual assaults on Women in UK - 1 out of 4 hav exp rape or attempt 2 rape. 1 in 7 women have been coerced into sex, rising to 1 in 3 among divorced and separated women. During 2001 it is estimated that 190,000 incidents of serious sexual assault and 47,000 female victims of rape/attempted rape. U speak of India wit ur stats?? | You use inductive logic, using Delhi as an example when the stats are ACTUALLY saying otherwise. The no of rapes reported in India is actually 53 per day(again from the NCRB). Taking into account the no of cases that go unreported, this is just the tip of the iceberg in India. These ARE REAL STATS, not faulty Inductive logic. Even looking at increase rates, its 700% in India to 47% in the UK. At least no police official ever came out and said "the woman was to blame" in the UK, unlike India. |

| Around 2000 women are killed for dowry every year, female foeticide is common in North India. Have you ever heard of the case where 80 people in a mob molested a woman? Or the molestation last year in Mumbai in a full crowd on New Year's eve? Fact is, given the no of rapes that go unreported in India due to varying reasons from corruption to Indian rural/small town society's stigmas, the 53 cases a day is just the tip of the iceberg. Every hour 18 women are raped in India. Again from the NCRB. |

| I didn't speak abt the unreported cases in UK. So lets not go abt wit dat stats. The reported stats in UK is 6000+ in a year whr d population is hardly 6 crore. India has 100 crore + people. In UK out of 1 in 4 women gets raped or has exp an attempt to rape. The stats r much much better in India. | We ought to acknowledge corruption, coz cases in HIGHER numbers than reported ones are estimated to go unreported by the NCRB. As far as corruption goes, India is the 72nd least corrupt country out of 179, UK is the 12th least corrupt country. Not the best in education, life quality, law enforcement, politics, economic/military/political strength, highly corrupt and yet the best? Not quite. 1st step to progress is acknowledging you arent the best. Self-delusion is the worst form of self-harm. |
