I'm not sure but Mexico and Puerto Rico have had many great boxers. and since both countries speak spanish and had great fighters out in the same period then they began to argue on who is better and who would win thus starting a rivalry
mexico and PR are also the main two hispanic boxing countries, so theres another reason

cottos a great fighter but he gets hit to much with uppercuts.cotto is still one of boxings best he went out like a warrior if you notice during this fight this is not cotto hes fighting a different type of fight hes a boxer puncher he was trying to be a floyd mayweather.. hes a miguel cotto not once did he land a left hook to the body thats his signature punch he would have owon with body shots margo body is questionable
