Video Description:
I found this video and like to share it with more people who are not only interesseted in the music but also in the spiritual underling fundamentals about Emiliano Zapata. He inspired the people of Chiapa. Poverty, Hope.. According to them, his spirit did not die and make them change their anger, hope and poverty into rebellion.
Everything can change.. On a New Years Day!
The first two mins are presented by Zack The other three mins are the live performed version of PEOPLE OF THE SUN - BATTLE OF NEW MEXICO

¿Otro Mexico es ... ( 6 months ago by oaxakitajux)
Orgullo indigena.

EZLN take most of their political ideaologies from Anarcho-communist/Libertarian-socialist viewpoints, which are mostly characterised in their anti-neoliberalism, and anti-imperialism standpoints.
Their communism and anarchism could more easily be seen as less important areas of their domestic manifestations, while their true cause is a local class struggle for justice in Mexico.

You have your right to choose, of course. But you're an idiot for being naive and shallow enough to even remotely connect Ron Paul's right-wing libertarianism with the causes/struggles of the EZLN

Anarcho-communist/Libertarian-socialist<---no such thing
it's q very simple concept...peasants and workers who make up the majority of society have been exploited by the few ruling elites eversince
now isn't it just fair to take up arms and take what is rightfully yours from a state that has violated your rights and liberties?

i agree but actually the revolution in chiapas would actually never have happened if it wasn't for the us government as hard as they try to destroy our working communities the workers such as subcomandante marcos would never have organized the revolution if it wasn't for the research he did when he analyzed the army's tactics which is crazy because the government tries so hard to destroy all who stand in there way but when the people use their power against them they are helpless. Viva Zapata!

Zack, zack... How can you be son naive? These "revolutionary movements' are just another way of corruption and oppression. These guys never changed a fuck... They are just other people trying to get power and control the mexican people. I agree with his ideas that corrupt politicians should be killed but substitute them for these guys? And don't come tell me I don't know what I'm talking about. I'm latin-american, a brazilian.situation is the same fucking shit all over south and central america

Well, no! The ... ( 2 weeks ago by YaBasta84)
Well, no! The Zapatista movement is in fact a contrast to all those who just want to gain power. In the autonomous regions all people ARE Zapatistas. Everyone. They just defend their land that was continuingly stolen by the government. And the zapatistas are more democratic than any movement or nation anywhere. And they discuss everything, they're undogamtic, they invite people from everywhere in the world, even intellectuals like Naomi Klein.
That's why the EZLN is the only movement I support.

No offense but that's all bullshit... I'm telling ya, the people who live in those villages controlled by the Zapatistas suffer as much as they would suffer in the hands of the government. That's is also one thing called ignorance and other despair, which may explain why people in Mexico support those guys. But I repeat, this guys are not better than the fucking corrupt government.

How do you know that the people in the zapatista region suffer as much?I've been in the zone 10 times ,and i did not find anything that would led me to believe that . there are no official reports or independent you name it ,to back the information that you are telling us so where do you get the evidence of your argument

I've already said: It's the same thing in my country, Brazil and all over central and south America. Just like in Mexico.Militias are the same all over the world. revolution... yeah right. If you don't believe me, go live there. I'm not here to convince anyone.
Good question... ... ( 1 week ago by NickNorie15)
Good question... I'm just expressing my opinion, nothing else. I really don't have physical proof to say that thess guys are bad... All I have is a little bit of experience. Wanna believe in movements such as the zapata? Okay, just don't get your hopes up.
