I agree with you, she is great, nice line, but lacks musicality. The ballerinas legs should be like the directors batutes. She has to direct the music with her body. But Ms. Zakharova is always one or two notes late.

In sports, you do anaerobic excercises that are meant to build muscle and muscle strength. In ballet, muscle only gets in the way of flexibility, so you'd do aerobic excercises that build up your endurance. They do a lot of it so that they can perform for long periods. Doing exercise in general = weight loss. She probably eats very healthily (lots of veggies and fruits, etc.), and in addition losses a bit more weight due to practice. IF SHE WERE ANOREXIC, SHE WOULDN'T HAVE THE STRENGTH TO DANCE.

Her extensions, her impeccable technique and her AMAZING MUSICALITY are all a pleasure to watch! I agree with industrialxstrength; she is NOT ANOREXIC, or else, as already stated, she would not have the strength to dance; ballerina's muscles are not bulky because they need to be flexible, to, all the stretching elongates their muscles and while doing so it improves their line. Svetlana Zakharova is definitely an amazing ballerina!
