Congressman Paul's consistent voting record prompted one of his congressional colleagues to say, "Ron Paul personifies the Founding Fathers' ideal of the citizen-statesman. He makes it clear that his principles will never be compromised, and they never are." Another colleague observed, "There are few people in public life who, through thick and thin, rain or shine, stick to their principles. Ron Paul is one of those few."

Agreed, everyone should indeed watch Zeitgeist.
Talk about ... ( 1 day ago by ReduceGHGs)
Talk about parotting the right wing propaganda machine. Because Obama didn't put his right hand over his hart or wear a pin you think he's unpatriotic? Next you'll say he swore an oath on the Coran.
Obama is the right man for the job. RP is clearly not what we need (see the 5% vote) and the republicons have been regressive. Obama has been straight. You want a flip-floper go see McCrazy!
Try some new material or go back to listening to flush, bolter, and beck.
Hillary Clinton ... ( 1 day ago by Reptilianmuseum)
Hillary Clinton already won the 2008 election because Ron Paul had the popular vote! I got the video on it in my favorites!
The only thing that ... ( 1 day ago by NufffSaid)
The only thing that makes Obama right for the job, is the fact that you and him (not to mention all the other sheep,) say so. Obama is nothing more than the equivalent of a smooth talking car salesman; and were it not for A. The medias censoring of him, B. The elites support of him, and D. The gullibility of voters, combined with the frivolousness with which they cast votes...He wouldn't even be a contender. As for the "pin" wearing, you didn't get that from me. As for the flip-flopping...
1. Special ... ( 1 day ago by NufffSaid)
1. Special Interests
Back in January, the Obama campaign described union contributions to the Clinton and Edwards campaign as "special interest" money. He changed his tune as he went after union endorsements himself. He now refers respectfully to unions as the representatives of "working people" and says he is "thrilled" by their support.
2. Public Financing ... ( 1 day ago by NufffSaid)
2. Public Financing
Obama replied "yes" in September 2007 when asked if he would agree to public financing of the presidential election if his GOP opponent did the same. His spokesman now says that he never gave such a pledge, and Obama himself has attached several conditions, including regulating spending by outside groups.
3. The Cuba embargo ... ( 1 day ago by NufffSaid)
3. The Cuba embargo
In January 2004, Obama said flatly that it was time "to end the embargo with Cuba," because it had "utterly failed in the effort to overthrow Castro." Speaking to a Cuban-American audience in Miami in August 2007, he said he would not "take off the embargo" as president because it was "an important inducement for change."
4. Illegal ... ( 1 day ago by NufffSaid)
4. Illegal immigration
In a March 2004 questionnaire, Obama was asked if the government should "crack down on businesses that hire illegal immigrants." He replied "Oppose." In a televised debate on January 31, he said that "we do have to crack down on those employers that are taking advantage of the situation."

5. Decriminalization of Marijuana
While running for the U.S. Senate in January 2004, Obama told Illinois college students that he supported eliminating criminal penalties for marijuana use. In the October 30, 2007 presidential debate, he joined other Democratic candidates in opposing the decriminalization of marijuana.

Sheep?
Its Obama's approach to governing that draws me to him. Its RP's approach that repells me.
Smooth talking? Yea, so was Kennedy and MLK.
As for funding of Obama's campaign, the average is something like $97. That "flip flop" you describe is pretty weak. Again, he's been solid on the issues. Don't be swift-boated. Kerry got that label that wasn't true.
With Biden, man what a pair! Biden was my first pick. I'm VERY happy with them. It's gona be an arse kicking!
As for "McCrazy"... ... ( 1 day ago by NufffSaid)
As for "McCrazy"...You said it; Not me. He would be another Bush. By the way, it is my opinion that you and many other Americans are mistakenly associating the negative actions of those of any particular party, with the IMAGINED actions of those of the same party; In short, when voters look at either one republican or democrat and reflect on the faults attributed to them, they transpose those faults to the candidate who shares the same party affiliation...
The act of make ... ( 1 day ago by NufffSaid)
The act of make this comparison is no different than judging an entire race of people based upon the actions of a few. While it would be true that the current admin is republican, and they've royally screwed up...This is no rule of measure to indicate that Ron Paul would follow suit.
No, McCrazy isn't ... ( 1 day ago by ReduceGHGs)
No, McCrazy isn't guilty by association.
For example, he supports the w/cheney tax cuts and want to increase them for corporations. He is NOT for Universal Health Care. (Health care for-profit must end.) He has demonstrated a lack of understanding about the war, supported it, and is "OK" with staying there.
The republicons have what I consider a regressive apporach to governing. Laissez-faire or trickle-down economics doesn't cut it. The wealthy prosper at the expense of those that arean't.
Obama's approach to ... ( 1 day ago by NufffSaid)
Obama's approach to governing? What has Obama governed? Let's be honest here...you're impressed by his motto and promises; which in my book, isn't worth the coverage the media gives it. Let the man go out on the limb and say, now that he has such a lead, that he plans to uphold and enact executive order 1110; Signed by J.F.K. June 04, 1963 to strip the Federal Reserve Bank of its power to loan money to the government at interest...
..and return power ... ( 1 day ago by NufffSaid)
..and return power to the U.S. government to issue currency, without going through the Federal Reserve. Currency which by the way, would then be backed by a gold standard (As Ron Paul proposes,)as opposed to the current federal reserve note which is supported by nothing. DO YOU THINK FOR ONE MOMENT THAT YOUR OBAMA IS GOING TO RUFFLE THE FEATHERS OF THE ELITE WHO HAVE A VESTED INTEREST IN SEEING TO IT THAT THIS DOESN'T HAPPEN, IS GOING TO DO THAT? NO! WERE HE GOING TO, HE'D OF ALREADY SAID SO...
...As for Ron ... ( 1 day ago by NufffSaid)
...As for Ron Paul's approach to government, Ron Paul challenges the government of money by challenging the two most successful vehicles that have ever been used to drive up debt - war and the creation of money by a privately-owned central bank. His promise to have all troops out of Iraq and to return to a gold standard would severely cut into the profits and control of the New York banking establishment. It is for this reason that he has been silenced and replaced with Obama of empty promises.
It's all one big ... ( 1 day ago by NufffSaid)
It's all one big intricately weaved P.R. campaign designed to pacify and cloud the judgment of the American people; a judgment that has been dumbed down by the slop the media feeds the people who for the most part, too quickly and readily dismiss any opposition to the norm as conspiratorial and/or radical. Until the people change its view of govt as "Big brother", and realize that their voice is silenced by the Rockefeller's and Morgan's of this country...Americans will only perpetuate it.
