That's me in the video that got triangled...LOL...My buddy just called me now and told me who I had wrestled...The guys a stud, I give him credit...Even though I was in the wrong weight class...what a dummy I was...I got 2nd last year at Arnolds '07...I still cannot believe how long I survived with the big boys...

The guy is defensive the whole bout, and then wins in a 5-second counter-offense?! I don't get this sport...it seems like if it were to translate to real-life fighting, the eventual winner would have had his face caved-in long before he got the lock on his opponent. My props to the Mike guy for bringing the action.

No way man, Ryan is actually being extremely agressive. Just because he's on the bottom doesn't mean he's not being offensive. The guy on top was aggressively trying to pass his guard and gain position, but Ryan wasn't giving him any opportunity to attack. Ryan repeatedly attacked him w/ triangles, an armlock, and even tried an omo plata. So to say that he was being defensive the whole bout is a complete misunderstanding.

Thats complete offensive jiu jitsu from ryan right there. when it translates to real-life fighting the grappler would break the street fighters arm on the first punch he threw since the street fighter doesnt no the defense.
