No matter how much the dream screams it is a dream, the dream will never believe it, nor understand it, for only the dreamer who wakes up can know that. The dream sees only itself, and nothing other.
Being the dreamer of the dream, or the self within the dream is the thing that matters, which is what this meditation teaches.
