"New 2007 Transfer" This is A souvenir film called "The Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World" It is A Super 8mm sound color vintage souvenir film. This is Ver. 2 It shows us the sights and sounds of the Walt Disney World, Disneyland in Florida. This was made sometime in the mid 1970 to eary 80s. I bought this film in 1990 at a film close out sale. You can find this film on Ebay every once in a while.

does anyone have copies of the stuff that they played on the TVs in the disney hotels (in the mid-70s) that were tours of the park? It ended with a woman singing "Disney World, Disney world, Walt Disney World..." Just curious.

The changes were pretty lame. Davy Jones' image on the fog is pretty cool but the rest of the changes are pretty weak. You see Captain Sparrow stick his head out of a barrel here and there and the end scene, which had that awesome pirate treasure spread out to fill out the room is gone replaced with a single Captain Sparrow sitting on the chair by himself.

I don't like that they changed the skull and crossbones to Davy Jones' head. I'm not a huge fan of the pirates movies, and always loved the talking skull and crossbones.

Awesome! Until you are exposed to something like this film, you forget how old WDW is! My first visit was in 75 for a family reunion at the Polynesian! Now, as a Florida resident I bring my wife and 5 year old there 7-8 times a year! Walt was a geniuses! Thanks Walt!

Go to Disneyland... The skull and crossbones are still there, and the Davey Jones waterfall effect is further along - after the two drops. (Seriously, the Disneyland version is MUCH better/longer. Not sure why they abbreviated it when building WDW... Bummer.)

It's a shame Disney doesn't follow Walt's vision anymore of investing all the profit back into the parks. Imagine where Disney would be today with that principal. Now you have greedy CEO's picking pockets. It's a shame.

I can'tbelieve the Jungle Cruise skipper was aloowed to shoot the hippo with a blank firing gun. It's sad that or society has forced out harmless things like this.

Great Video...the 70s were the hey day of the Magic Kingdom at WDW. Everything was new and shiny, and fun. Main Street was really a land and not a shopping mall.

Thanks for posting this! We just got back from Disney with the kids and I was telling them how "it used to be" and now I can show them! It was a great trip down Memory Lane! I used to love the 20,000 leagues under the sea ride - too bad it's gone now! I guess they have to update stuff but I liked the old rides (Haunted Mansion, Pirates) the way they were! Thanks so much for posting!

thanks for posting this. I visited disney world a lot as kid in the late 70's and this video brings back a lot of great memories of the original, even before space mountain opened. the park has modernized a bit and some of my favorite rides are gone --- 20,000 leagues, america the beautiful and even river country, but I still get goosebumps when I go there. I am so glad to have experienced the original, though I miss it!

I agree 'echoscot'!!! When I was a kid, walking down Main Street USA was just as much as an experience as going to all the other 'lands' - now it's just a big shopping mall. I raced my kids through there this past November. Save that stuff for Downtown Disney!

I wish I could have experienced the original Disney World. It looks grand. I am 14, and most of this would NOT excite most kids my age. But it sure gives me chills thinking about the next time I go. Thanks for posting this.
