P.S. 6k as Mayor and 500k as a Governer is pretty darned small time. Obama has been in Senate for Illinois which dwarfs that place and then a US Senator, both of those are way bigger than anything Palin has handled.

Things have changed a little in the last FOUR years.... like our country wasn't this f-ed up. 2004: Constitution was still holding up (barely), gas prices were somewhat reasonable, and foreclosure rates were not astronomical ...2008: Constitution ripped to shreds, gas prices ridiculous, and thousands losing their homes to forecluse. How many minutes in Washington do you need to see that this country can't go on like this?

You libs dont get it. Palin isnt running for Prez, yet Obigot is. Obama has 143 days on the job, Palin has years. You want to downplay Mayor and Governor position because you are biased. Senator is elected to represent a distrect, Governor is elected to represent an entire state. Population of Illinois or Alaska does not matter, it is still a position and Palin has more experience - this is why libs are so scared and Obigot is losing sleep.

That is 570 days or so. Obama is senator for millions of people. Palin has half a million. Obama has been in the state senate for for 7 years prior to being senator. His life experience is chalk full of stuff. In 2004, he wasn't ready. It's 2008, and now he is.

It's 143 days because the rest of the time he should have been in senate he was running for president, that is why people say he has only 143 days of senate service and it is true. It's is pretty difficult to run a presidential campaign and be involved at all in the senate. In addition Senators are representatives for the people, they make NO EXECUTIVE DECISIONS. They do what the people tell them to do. And I don't remember telling Obama to make the USA socialist.

He's still in the senate. He has even written legislation a number of times since he started his campaign. Senators represent interest greater than the understanding of the people, that is why we have senators, else we would just have a vote for everything. Having social programs can be very rewarding. Europe is great. They have higher standards of living than us, pay less in taxes (if you include the amount we pay for med insurance), live longer, and are VERY social. Open your mind a bit.
