huh? the SHERIFF an officer of the law thought it was a good idea the day they find the body to burn the mattress, how can u not convict him based on that, his explanation made no sense
The Sheriff theory ...( 5 months ago by madjdnnfjjmfmf)
The Sheriff theory sounds more like a juicy rumor than an actual theory. I will say that I have a hard time figuring out if why anyone would want to burn any type of evidence from a crime scene. I've never heard of that before. From what little I understand of this case my money's on Dixon.

Eric Smith seems the most unlikely suspect.....I would be looking at Dixon and that crazy cop....who requests blunt evidance be burned?? Pretty peculiar!

I agree with you. He strikes me as being untruthful. Police should have taken a good look at him.
Yep. I agree. ...( 4 months ago by asdffd)
Yep. I agree. Burning evidence was a really dumb idea but Dixon- something about that guy says to me he's lying. Of course he could be completely innocent- guess we shouldn't say people are guilty based on a hunch. Sad thing is, if it's been this long and no one has been caught whoever did it will sadly probably get away with it.
The sheriff asking ...( 4 months ago by bnegs521)
The sheriff asking the bedding be burned is one of the oddest things I have ever heard of. But like I have said before on youtube, many of these 'unsolved mysteries' are the result of shoddy police work.
What caliber were ...( 4 months ago by bnegs521)
What caliber were the bullets? Did they even do a ballistics test on them? What about polygraphing all three suspects? Two of the three suspects have been in the house. That complicates things.

I guess this is still an open investigation. Does anyone have knowledge on updates in this case??
I have a feeling ...( 4 months ago by Freyafanboy90)
I have a feeling they all might've done it. Smith probably pulled the trigger, Wampler as a cop could destroy the evidence and Dixon to overhear all those conversations. But he is the weak link it seems as how he mentioned exit wounds. But thats my 2 cents.

well, cops can be really dumb. We don't think they are, cuz most people just see crafty investigations on tv. When my store was broken into, the cop I talked to said "there's no sign of forced entry." I took a look around and saw clearly that they tried to drill out the front door lock, broke the bit and left it on the ground. Then they took a pipe wrench and forced the back door knob to turn, breaking the knob. Long story short: cops are human and make stupid mistakes sometimes.

Dixon.....he is a freak man...I think it was him, My first reaction to seeing someone I know well being dead would to be immediately call the authorities none of this say a prayer bullshit..and call his sister? Fuck that let the authorities deal with that he had no right at all.

Favorite UM episode on YT that I've seen so far. I want to watch it carefully again. The decision of the sheriff (who I do not believe did it) to ask a civilian to burn up the mattress is absolutely NUTS! You can't tell me that is standard procedure.

Even if it were to come out at some point that Wampler did it would there be any prosecution?? I doubt it!!

If you like this case and find it intriguing...watch the " Whistle Blown" segment on here. I'm interested in hearing others comments. The message board on that particular story is just ridiculous! It would be nice to hear real questions and comments about the case instead of retarded references to the stupid Simpsons or comments about how ugly the people are in Ohio!
