You Won't Forget Me - La Bouche

Uploaded by: AirbrushXI
Video Description:
La Bouche is a Eurodance/Dance-pop duo formed by Frank Farian in Germany in 1994, consisting of Melanie Thornton and Lane McCray.
Their debut album, entitled Sweet Dreams, went five times Platinum and nine times Gold worldwide; In the United States, Sweet Dreams, peaked at #28 on the Billboard 200, and was certified double-platinum by the RIAA. It sold over 8 million copies worldwide. Its first single, entitled "Le Click: Tonight is the Night", reached #68 on the Billboard Hot 100, #22 on the Hot Dance Club/Play Chart, and #2 on the Euro Hot 100. The Follow-up, Be My Lover, was top 10 in fourteen countries, #1 in Germany and #6 on the US Billboard Hot 100 in 1995. It went on to win the ASCAP award for the "Most Played Song in America", and sold 6 million copies worldwide. The third single from their debut album, Sweet Dreams climbed to #13 on the Billboard Hot 100, to #3 on the US Dance Chart, #1 in Germany, and #1 on the Euro Hot 100. while the final single, a cover of Hamilton's "Fallin' in Love", climbed to #3 on the Hot Dance Club/Play Chart, and #4 on the Euro Hot 100. All four are considered Eurodance classics. "I Love To Love" wa
s remixed and released. It peaked at #8 on the Australian music chart.
The second and final album, S.O.S., also known as A Moment of Love, was released in 1998, it featured the European hit, "You Won't Forget Me", (also #48 on the Billboard Hot 100).
In 2000, Melanie Thornton left the group to pursue a solo career. She was replaced by Natascha Wright and a single was released entitled All I Want in April of the same year. Poor sales resulted, and Farian decided to put the group to rest. Meanwhile, Melanie Thornton was achieving momentous popularity with a single called Love How You Love Me and then with Wonderful Dream (Holidays Are Coming), recorded for a Coca Cola Christmas commercial.
While promoting her album Ready To Fly, which was released in the month of April but had a new version coming out in a few weeks, Thornton was killed in a plane crash near Zurich on November 24, 2001. Thornton's album sold remarkably well, before and after her death.
In April 2002, Farian compiled songs from Thornton's debut album of the year prior along with selections from the first and second La Bouche albums into a best of collection entitled The Best of La Bouche [feat. Melanie Thornton]. Info courtesy: wikipedia.org]
