| Rihanna sure but not the powerhouse of Zeppelin. One of the greatest and most important rock and roll bands of all time (at their core they were rock and roll and not rock but of course they did a massive amount of experimentation!) Plus the simple fact is that some people can't relate to instrumental music. I have friends whom I play hedges stuff the whole and sure they nod away and see it's class but it doesn't float they're boat. |

| I don't see how it couldn't compete with Led Zeppelin. You can't really compare the two. Led Zeppelin has multiple people in their band. Michael Hedges plays solo acoustic guitar and tries to implement multiple sounding instruments into his song alone. I wouldn't really say one is better than the other. |

| True - but it makes it all the more amazing when somebody listens and realizes it is on one guitar. Don't get me wrong - I love Led Zeppelin and those kind of bands, and they sound great with multiple instruments. But with this style, there may be limits, but the artists become creative. You will see Harp guitars with bass strings, normal strings, and treble strings. They can use loop pedals, drum on their guitar, and make it sound like 20 instruments playing while one man is doing it all. |
