That was a very real threat. Iraq was never a threat. Everything Kennedy said in this speech was true. There was no misinformation as there was by Bush, Cheney ad Rumsfeld.

Obama will be a great President on the same level as JFK.....we may not be in the Cold War anymore, but we face global terrorism, an economic depression, and worldwide environmental destruction......if President Obama can provide strong leadership to solve all these monumental problems -- then he will be regarded as one of the greatest Presidents in American history.....even greater than JFK since he was only in power for 2.5 yrs. while Obama will have 8 years.

Dont even compare Obama to JFK...that's like comparing 1 dollar to a penny. Obama can't even shine Kennedy's shoes. Kennedy cut taxes, battled communism, the welfare state, and made limits to government spending...
Obama will do every thing the opposite. He believes in large government, he believes in "investments" and bailing out corrupt companies, raising taxes and borrowing.

Just wait until Obama takes office......he will single-handedly end the economic recession and capture Bin Laden in Pakistan in his first 100 days in office - two big things Dubya couldnt accomplish in 8 years! Obama will get America back in a budget surplus, rid our dependence on foreign oil, and provide first-class healthcare for every American. Let's not forget he is the most admired leader in the world already before being sworn in. His 8 yrs. in office will make JFK look like a hack....

How do your propose that Obama will solve problem of the surplus if he plans on spending 1 trillion dollars in tax payer money? Including golbal poverty acts, universal health insurance, in addition with all these bail outs?
I doubt Obama will catch Bin Laden...Bush I could not catch him. Clinton could not, Bush came close in Tora Bora, but I highly doubt Obama will especially since he wants to make cuts to the military (he said it himself)

I am also in favor of cutting foreign ties to oil? How do you do that though? That's right you drill here at home. problem is Obama doesn't want to drill here at home because then he would not be catering to the environmentalists that helped put him in power with the unions...In fact he is going to freeze all domestic oil drilling, and invest in "cleaner" energy..well while we are investing in "cleaner" energy...where are we getting oil from? The Middle East. And they say what price we pray.

We could be drilling for our own oil keeping the middle east in check, while we develop cleaner energy. We could cut programs, cut spending, cut ear marks, reduce the size of the federal government, cut foreign aid, all without raising taxes,impose trade tariffs on China, We could Improve the INS to reduce illegal immigration, reduce welfare by promoting tax breaks for all of those who work in a union or own a business. Instead of doing the exact opposite what Obama he will do.

Gee, I supposed Bushy and all his cronies in Congress did a great job of downsizing federal govt. with the largest financial bailout in world history? Now Bush wants to bailout the Big 3 automakers.....Dubya is the most spend-happy President we ever had.....at least Obama will lower taxes for the middle class and stick it to all these rich assholes on Wall Street who got all of us in this mess in the first place.
