Just as a heads up, there are moments in this video that depict certain deaths, but this video is made up of AU ((alternative universe)) material. Several people die in this video who do not die in JKR's world. I ask that no one comment and reveal which deaths are fiction or non-fiction or be VERY cautious regarding these issues. Thanks!
I saw only one other attempt at this song and it was incomplete. It's one of my favorite rap songs and I do not like many. Very intense and powerful performance by Coolio. I wanted to go one of two ways with the ending... he dies at the end or he leaves the gang. Either way, it would be over (has a JKR feel to it lol). This video follows the lyrics, but because of my expectations for the ending, a storyline was developed (see below). Sorry it's exhaustive, but the song IS intense. Hope you like it!
Storyline...
Harry is the leader of the Gryffindor gang and is constantly doing battle with a drug lord, "Lord Voldemort". All the while, the rival Slytherin gang, whose leader is named Draco, is trying to move in on their turf. The video follows the song and shows how the rivals are killing one another, not to mention fighting within the gang (Harry & Sirius).
During one of the gang battles, Sirius (Harry's godfather and a very close friend) is killed while protecting him. Harry has been growing in his disgust for the gang life and Sirius' death has him consider
leaving, but still feels it's all he has. This life is all he knows.
*Don't read any further if you want a surprise ending.*
It's not until his fellow Gryffindor member, Hermione, comes to see him
after Sirius' death to tell him she is scared for him and together they should leave. He looks at her and realizes she is serious. A glimmer of hope crosses his face as he realizes she gets him and knows what he is going through. He has always wanted her, but there was never a chance to pursue anything and he never realized she had feelings for him.
He spends some time thinking about Sirius and knows he wants out. He goes to see Ron, his second in command. Ron is supposed to be one of his best friends, as Ron has been by his side since the beginning. Ron basically says good riddance and walks away.
Harry realizes the gang life, which he thought was his loyal family, was just an illusion.
The finale...
He finds Hermione and tells her, "yes", he will leave with her. They walk off together.... happy.... ready to start a new life together.
