i have the r4ds(illegal!) and i have a cheat data inside it(action replay) which makes it go faster! i think..... cause i never had the buttom thing the gba 1. the cheat said.

I don't have the ds browser, but I do use opera, and I can tell you: It'll work, but I'm sure it will load extremely slowly, and will have a handful of errors. On my home computer, on opera, everything loads fast, except facebook, which can take upwards of 30 seconds to load.
