your 25 and you act like 12 under the banner of oldschool CNC fandom. if your the type of guys who represent the old CNC community, i can say that you guys are pathetic. its funny that you guys think you are like a bunch of godfathers for the old games, while the new ones are OBVIOUSLY better in any direction. gameplay depth, STYLE, units...ect. and if anything are done with homage and respect the franchise. CNC3 and RA3 are very much like CNC.

my point is, these guys defend those games after 15 years and they won't stand the "OBVIOUSLY better" games in any way.
now, if you - 15 years from now - will defend ra3 in such passion - then I really have nothing to say to you. But the point is, u just play ra3 and forget about it. u never had a good game - only games that seems new and technologic at the time. tommorow ra3 will look old.

And as you can hear, ra1 has mach better music, and even thouth the pixsles are huge, becouse ra1 is an old game - well - if ONLY generls/cnc3/ra3 had good grhphics! - they look like school work, like a scince models - they look like meth.its horrible.
and the plot of ra3 - my god! forget the war bears - the idea that japan IS THE big threat is so idiotic - what is there for me to defend? russia from japan? this game is so childic they won't even call it japan - its "empire of the rising sun"

thats what i was trying to say in the first place , RA3 is nothing when compared to the 1st 2 games, the bloody game has more colorful and cartoony effects then fuckin alice in wonderland, a total shite !!! and that what's sad cuz RA1 and RA2 were awesome =(

ohh really, you think RA1 was regarded as some kind of a deep game back in 1996? it was actually the simpler strategy game. in anything AOE was the more intricate game. TA was deeper. what was it that made RA1 so great? you see.. exactly the same thing RA3 is doing, keeping it simple.
now its the turn of games like Sins, COH and WIC to take the genre to new directions. RA3 wasnt done ONLY to make money. why wont EA just sell hamburgers? they could make a buck. they pay homage to the old games.

Japan had Aircraft Carriers before the Russians even had a navy of consideration and beat them very hard to the Russia Japan war. sure they are a small country compared to the might of the other, but they are not SO out of place. the Naganita was a real japanese vessel, the Tengu is actually a cancelled project of Japanese Jets. if Japan was not restrained for 70 years while still Imperial, they would become very, VERY strong. and RA has always been crazy enough to welcome that Anime touch.

well said, i completely agree, RA3 is awesome, it is interesting how they made the Jap's army more difficult to control if you are going for a well rounded attack but a very strong one if done well. the Japanese definitely has best navy in RA3(i love the shogun battle ship). but their anti air capabilities is relatively weak wouldn't you say so?

Kudos on your response to Wizzer, but no matter what you say, quality is quality. I love the games now as much as I did then, and welcome EA's attempt to deliver on that game franchise. Does it do RA justice? Maybe, maybe not. Whatever. My point is that fifteen years from now, I will defend RA's many deserving installments just as vehemently as I do today.

I never really understood the plot arc, and it makes me sad to think Red Alert and C&C arn't the same game. Unless i'm way off base. Which I probably am, i switched to starcraft.
