Jimmy Wales at San Francisco iSummit party announced :
the Wikimedia Foundation board voted to approve a deal beetween the FSF and CC and Wikimedia. We're going to change the GFDL in such a way that Wikipedia will be able to become licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license.

Instead of "shopping around" for knowledge, millions of lazy, bookless people are flocking to a site controled by a faceless, self-appointed "Wiki-elite" expecting to find the truth.
I'm sure Wikipedia has earned its place in history, I'm just not sure what that place is.
