I bought this film as I love Helmut Berger and he looked beauteous throughout. However word of warning, this movie has good moments and excellent sets but if you are thinking of buying it beware of the scene of the pig in the slaughterhouse it is HORRIBLE and very upsetting, also other scenes could be VERY offensive to many people. I like the film as long as the fast forward button was there.

Sex scenes, nudity, violence... many people get offended with those. Hipocriticals! All of what is showed in Tinto's movies lays in our ordinary days or, at least, in our imagination. He's one of the brightest moviemakers ever, he gave to the erotic cinema glamour, charm... and also roughness to the reality, as it has indeed.

His movies are not erotic cinema - they simply use certain techniques of erotic cinema as part of the universe of the surreal setting he creates.
"Caligula" and "Salon Kitty" are much like Russ Meyer films; sex is used liberally simply to demonstrate the human everyday obsession with sex... it's not the focal point necessarily.
