In 1991, Mike Utley was seriously injured while playing for the Detroit Lions. He has worked hard to bounce back and now serves as an inspiration and philanthropist to many who have similar injuries. Meet the Lions great, hear his story and see how and what he is doing as he plays bocce with some Lions to raise money and awareness for the Mike Utley Foundation and other Lions charities.

| No, he didn't die, but became paralyzed. The entire team was inspired and the year became the "Thumbs Up" year, because Mike gave the thumbs up as he was carted off the field. |
