Actually, they have committed crimes there...they have trafficked illegal substances to the American people. I believe it is the Americans who ordered the seeds that committed a crime. Otherwise, by your logic, US gun manufacturers should be extradited to Canada for the Canadian deaths caused by US guns here... which is even worse than Canadian marijuana seeds going to the US, because marijuana seeds don't kill, but guns do.

Actually, seeing as guns are legal your logic, if one can call it that, doesn't make sense. Even if you mean guns that are prohibited in Canada, your argument still doesn't hold water, because weapons that are prohibited in Canada are legal in the States. Weed, on the other hand, is illegal both in Canada and the United States. But good try though

Once again you seem to have missed my point. Cannabis Marijuana is ILEGAL in both Canada and the United states. Therefor trafficking in Marijuana, whether it be to Americans or Canadians, is ILEGAL. Now if Marc Emery owned a shop in Holland, and an American was to go there and buy marijuana,then as long as he doesn't try and bring it back to the United States, then he can fill his boots. But Marijuana, in both Canada and the States, is illegal (and should be)

Ih8thippies: Of course, you're right that marijuana is illegal. But I think you're the one missing the point. What determines how people act should be a subjective moral law, not the absolute but potentially fallible laws created by officials in the US and Canadian governments. The manufacture or trafficking of guns and cigars is morally questionable, but this is not so for marijuana.

the american people want the pot so bad that they trade it pound for pound for cocaine and personally i would rather have pot in my country than more cocaine so how about concentrating on the really dangerous drugs look beyond the hippies to the real drug dealers pot is natural herb and cocaine is most certainly not

Ih9thippied: ... yes, the sale of marijuana is technically illegal in Canada, although often overlooked. But Emery was selling seeds and by Canadian law ... like in the UK, Holland, Spain ..etc the seeds aren't concidered illegal to sell. They were very public about what kind of business they were runing and the Canadian government did not mind until the DEA tried to pin him a drug trafficker. This is an issue of national security.

Here here. I work in the law enforcement field and I have to say I DO NOT believe in the anti pot laws! There are FAR more dangerous drugs out there i.e cocaine, heroin, meth ETC ETC. I think listen to the U.S politicians too much and need to tell them to fuck off and mind their own business. How many "decent thinking" people smoke up and drive? Hardly anyone. But to those that do I have to say wake up. Don't drink and drive, don't get stoned and drive. Its that easy. The U.S needs to relax.

It's funny how pharmaceuticals that kill people and GMO crops are allowed everywhere ... but we can't even grow industrial (non-THC) hemp in the US. How is that not economically or morally questionable?
