Harry Belafonte is not only a great entertainer but a great statesman. I was fortunate to see him twice in concert in the '60s. It is wonderful that he still stands up for freedom despite harassment by a fascist government.

This is a lovely rendition of the song Suliram. Belefonte's "discovery" from South Africa, Miriam Makeba, brought it to the U.S. in the early '60s. I got to see her sing it at Oregon State University in the 1960's. You can hear her sing it on Itunes (please note that they misspelled the name and have it tagged as Sultram). Check it out, it's very beautiful.
