It WAS out on vinyl but you'll have to look for it on Ebay as it is out of print! In fact the only SUEDE LP that never got a vinyl release is the last one.

Actually, it's about a gay friend of his who was in a violent relationship with an older man who ditched him as soon as he was over the age of consent (now you're over 21). Animal Nitrate is a play on the drug 'Amyl Nitrate' (poppers).

How much do I love this song and the memories it brings up. It was really great to be around for early britpop (not later blur/oasis rival nonsense) Wierd to say that britain felt cool back then.

I didn't know all that details you guys are revealing! All that is awesonme, thanks for the info, and i'm agree about the legacy of this band! By the way, i think the only ones that always is complaining about the "rivality" of Blur/Oasis are the Gallager brothers, the Blur mates are always very exceptical about that!

I just signed up to you tube just so I could make this comment about the wonderful Suede. It has rekindled my love for the music, what an incredible band!!! I miss the style and the emotion and yes it brings back so many memories ... its true britain had a different feel to it different then...thanks to all you suede posters for bringing back those memories ;-)
