right click again on the converted song and click show in windows explorer... a window is gonna open, before you change the "m4a" to "m4r" in the window, delete the clip from itunes, and make sure to click "delete but keep file"... now you can change the "m4a" to "m4r" in the window click yes on the alert messages grab the clip from the window and drop it into your itunes library and the song will atomatically apear nder ringtones...:]

so i did everything, i shorten my songs to 30 sec., song shows up in my ringtones on my cmputer but it does'nt show on my iphone under my ringtones after i sync. help pls.

ok everything is good but u cant copy that same one onto the iphone, you have to go to FILE, ADD FILE, and open the ringtone from ur desktop, and it will automaticlly be under "ringtones" but wow THANKYOU SO MUCH sorry iphones kinda spendy cant give u one lol but goodjob!

OMG! U R the best... you left out one minor detail though, the song has to be shortened to 30-40 seconds in order for it to work! You can use Audacity 1.3 Beta (Unicode) which is also a free download to shorten the song! Then it works perfectly! THANKS
