It seems to me that every time there was a mentor on this show, they were particularly impressed with Cook's talent. He either changed up the song to make it his, or just showed what an awesome voice he has.

Archuleta actually debuted at #2 one week and then the next week Cook debuted at #3. I'm excited about another season beginning in January, but I'm sad that it possibly will be Paula's last season. :(

I don't really favor one over the other. I honestly don't. I'm just happy to see the Idol winners succeed, because I like the show and I like that Idol is keeping pop music somewhat popular and relevant, in this world of dominating hip/hop (which I hate).
