Christian left the Kora Reserve in 1973. He made his new territory along the Tana river, but when the Wakamba herdsmen kept bringing their livestock to his hunting ground, he moved on. George Adamson said in his autobiography, "I used to count the days on which we hadn't seen Christian, but when they reached 97, I gave up recording them in my diary." Because a lion can live from 12 to 15 years in the wild, Adamson believed that Christian ended his days in the Meru National Reserve only a few miles up river.
"Lion Man" Gareth Patterson, author, environmentalist, and the person who continued George Adamson's lion rehabilitation work, revisited Kora in 1998. This is what he found...

Aww, this is so wonderful, I would've liked to have the same experience, but from my experience, cats are not to be trusted. I kind of love that about them though, that they're their own master. Lions are probably more trustworthy than other cat animals though, since they're herd animals and can accept you into their herd. I really doubt a tiger would ever act like this lion.

One comment said this proves that "Lions are just big cats"...but Christian the Lion actually seems more harmless than some pet cats! My old cat who I had from age 3-22, R.I.P, could be the most cuddly, lovely cat, he would often sleep in my bed with me, and when I came back home after some trip he'd run at me quite like Christian in this video, but he could be aggressive as hell as well and make his family members bleed and fear him, although we learned to predict his behavior pretty well...

...but he could linger in the dark at night and jump at you and grab hold of your leg and tear up the skin (we have scars to prove it). He only acted like this in captivity though, in our apartment, when he was in our house at the countryside where he could open the door and go outside, he was way more content with life. He would sit by the door in our apartment and give away strong screams that would eventually fade out and become more quiet and heartbreaking, because he wanted to go outside.

for what it's worth, Arnold was an atrocious actor too (and he did quite well), but i still resent most forms of spamming on this video.
I would understand spamming on this video for the cause of animal rights (as it would be appropriate), but not personal gain. - Just my opinion.
