I used to like De La Hoya till i found out that him and everyone else started running away from a true mexican fighter Antonio Margarito. Oscar just disappointments me with this little stupid sideshow of a fight hes trying to put on against pacquiao just to make more money like he even needs anymore. Its sad to see that he is no longer driven by his pride but by greed.

It's funny how people are calling Margarito a "true" Mexican champ when he wasn't even born in Mexico. He was born in California just like De La Hoya. Look it up. He's Mexican American just like De La Hoya but somehow he's a "true" Mexican. That doesn't make any sense. Is it because Margarito can't speak English and he grew up in Mexico? I respect both De La Hoya and Margarito and it would be a good fight.

Well its sad really that people seem to forget that just getting in that ring deserves respect. No matter where they come from, if I were Mexican I would be proud that De La Hoya wanted to represent my country too. Margarito is the same as De La Hoya, like you said, I think he spent more of his time in Mexico though, so he is better known there. And yes, the fight would be fantastic, noone could predict what would happen!

Thats true i agree hes a good fighter but he only wants to fight Manny for the money thats it there is nothing else in it for him. By the way Margarito was born in the US, I believe Alhambra or El Monte, whatever, same shit as De la Hoya in east LA. So for people to say that he is more Mexican, That makes me laugh.
