I've lived in Japan b4 and the jrock fans of Japan are soooo diff from here in America. They think a lot of people are posers here. jfans take it pretty seriously. They think gothic lolita and cosplay are two different things...but Americans tend to mix every style together. I went to a Dir en Grey concert in Sendai Japan and some people didn't even 'dress up' it's more about the music for them.
Can't wait to go back! :D

i agree alot with this, it seems like alot of american J rock fans try way to out with the make up and the cloths and the dance moves. Where it ends up that there doing it as more of a style then just the music.
I like j rock because of the music, of course the fashion is cool but i don't find myself to obsesse over it, because i don't obsesse over american rock either.

DIDN'T YOU SEE THE GIRL THAT COULDN'T EVEN NAME ONE OF HER "SUPPOSEDLY FAV. BAND" SONGS. -__-. anyways that what I'm talking about. When I go to see various J rock artists I don't dress up. I'm there for my band, not for the "scene" people may understand the meaning behind J rock & visualism, but they don't understand the music.
