Travis is a good drummer, he has formal training; marching band. He can play complex material that requires finesse, and he can play more enduring and hard hitting sequences such as this one. (listen to his music on the aquabats albums) I wouldn't say that he's one of the greatest in the world(because theres a lot of greats out there!), but he does consistently play with bands and shows definite style and talent. To say that he sucks, or that he is the best is quite inaccurate.

Secondly, i don't think one should judge this guys ability off of one little 30 second clip. Obviously he's just laying down some track for a song/brainstorming....I don't think he's going to record this and call it "greatest drum solo ever" or use this for audition entry at Juliard Academy.

i agree but i wouldn't say every song. he has a few songs that have good grooves, but the majority of his playing is all the same. he is overrated.

Whats up with all you bitches saying travis is playing the same beats in all his songs??? thats a load of crap, and you know it!!! I dont think there's a drummer that has so many varieties of drumming beats as travis (and blink 182) !!! If you think he repeats his beats, then you clearly havent heard nothing yet, and therefore you are not worthy commenting this!!! uh ya he does play the same beats... the same 4/4 jr. high corrdination with occasional half time and double time varriations. and with the same OmG boring 16th note fills. and to projanai; his great formal training is marching band!!?? haha ok im in drumline as well and not only do marching drums have absoulutly nothing in common w set playing but travis is horrible at marching snare, just look up the "travis snare solo" and find out for ur self... i have no promlem with travis, just the

Ahahahhaha Travis barker is the worlds best drummer? Lars Urich, Joey Jordison, David Macintosh, JUNJI,and Jazz drummers around the world are ALL better than travis barker in EVERY respect. Speed, technique, power, dynamics (which is travis barkers shitty point live, he does em ok in studio), and if you think travis barkers the best drummer in the world, you clearly dont play the drums lol. 2 years of solid 3 day a week drum lessons will get you to his point.

hahahaha lars ulrich... Im from Denmark, so I know Lars very, very good, he's my idol, but not the best one... far from!... Travis is clearly the most innovative drummer of our time, he has made sooo many different beats, and they all rock.. try listen to some blink 182, box car racer or plus44 and you will know!! And furthermore he has done a ton of remixes, fx with The Game, Flo-rida, Busta Rhymes ect.... he just keeps creating, and it rocks !!! All the one you have mentioned just plays drums
