But for me this song is not about technique.
Too much distorsion for my taste, very little feeling. Too much shredding, too heavy metal.
Slow down a bit, clean the tone and/or get a more tube overdrive and feel the song...
I just suggest watching Clapton and Cray on their various renditions...
Almost no distortion, no shredding, no fast picking...
And an absolute delight.
anyways the whole point in doing your own rendition is to make your own changes
On the Hyde Park it is not as much distortion as the EC Strato mid-booster. I've got it and it's awesome, a very soft, dark overdrive, not so metal-ish.
And all I'm saying is that I don't like the feeling of the cover. The technique is very good-digitation, scales, everything. I'd like to be able to play like that technically-wise but I just dont like the feeling. Well maybe when he uses slide-that was cool though.
