I didn't understand the Dragoon until I finished the extra Dungeon. I always thought, 'Why is he changing the sides again and again?'

That is simply a matter of taste. For me, FFVII and FFX are one the best. I like them all, but FF7 and 10 are the best.
I really like FF XII because it is a leap in to the future for FF series...
