It was bred for by farmers as these might not do to well in the wild. A farmer found this trait in a domestic goat and bred for it so that a flock of non fainting goats will get away while the fainting goat is eaten. Much of domesticated stock can no longer fend for themselves, like domesticated turkeys that can no longer mate without human assistance.
